NAPLES -- Allen Systems Group acquired RiverGlass, an advanced information collection and data management firm, for an undisclosed amount.

Based in Champaign, Ill., RiverGlass has spent $20 million on research and development since its founding in 2003. Many of its clients work in government, specializing in defense, intelligence and law enforcement.

Arthur Allen, president and CEO at ASG, says that, through the acquisition of RiverGlass, “we can help our customers gain control and better visibility into their business data.”

“At ASG our mission is to help customers optimize their IT environments by providing solutions to enhance efficiency, minimize risk and manage costs. It is critical for enterprises to have easy to deploy tools that manage ongoing data growth,” Allen added.

ASG provides data management solutions to more than 3,000 corporate customers. The company earned roughly $985 million in revenues between 2006 and 2009, Allen tells the Business Review.
