TAMPA -- Pilgrim Software Inc. named Thierry Durand its newest CEO last week. Durand replaces co-founder Ami Utji as the company's head executive; Utji will stay with the firm as a member of its board.

Pilgrim Software builds compliance and risk management software for companies that operate in highly regulated industries. In February, the Tampa-based firm received an equity investment from Boston-based Riverside Partners. Riverside did not disclose the size of its investment, but does say that it has invested roughly $500 million in 50 companies over the past 12 years.

Riverside also says it focuses its investment efforts on companies with revenues between $20 million and $200 million. Pilgrim does not disclose its revenue totals publicly.
