BUYER: Finally a Bride LLC (principal: John Horne), Bradenton

SELLER: Bollettieri 2000 LC

PROPERTY: 6906 W. 14th St., Bradenton

PRICE: $1.74 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $745,000, December 2001

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Grimes Goebel Grimes Hawkins Gladfelter & Galvano PL, Bradenton

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: John Horne purchased the 7,590-square-foot Anna Maria Oyster Bar Landside restaurant building for $1.74 million.

The price equated to $229 per square foot.

Horne owns and operates the restaurant business with partners Fred Hurley and Gary Harkness.

“That's been a leased location for 14 years, and we've been negotiating for about the past 13.5,” Horne says. “The reason I named the company the way I did was I've been jilted at the alter [for the building sale] so many times by the previous owner. We had a great relationship with our landlord, prior to owning it, but it's great to be our own landlord.”

Now that the restaurant owns the property Horne says he's considering putting a deck on the outside of the 15-year-old restaurant building and changing the kitchen to allow the building to better handle the restaurant's volume.

The purchase entity Finally a Bride LLC mortgaged the property to Florida Community Bank NA for $1.31 million.
