BUYER: Quest Educational Foundation Inc. (principals: Colleen Baus, Pamela McKenry and C.E. Dekko), Naples

SELLER: DRI Dek Corp. successor by merger to Collier Executive Office Services Inc.

PROPERTY: 2706 Horseshoe Drive S., Naples

PRICE: $1.25 million

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Coleman Yovanovich & Koester PA, Naples

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: The Naples-based non-profit Quest Educational Foundation Inc. purchased a 19,271-square-foot building in Kendall International Center for $1.25 million. The price equated to $65 per square foot.

Constructed in 1989, the building occupies a 1.06-acre site, according to real estate research firm the CoStar Group.

The Quest Educational Foundation, a local non-profit that works to prepare Collier County students for college, plans to occupy the entire building, now called the Quest Center.

Pam McKenry, Quest's executive director, says that growing demand for the non-profit's services and programs necessitated the purchase. Quest has grown from 12 children in 1994 to 255 this year. By 2012 the number of students participating is forecast to grow to 300.

The Quest Educational Foundation hosts college fairs and counseling workshops and provides time management, math workshops and reading enrichment programs.
