Former Tampa mayor Pam Iorio and current Bonita Bay Group CEO Brian Lucas are among the newest additions to the Collins Center for Public Policy's board of trustees.

The Collins Center is a nonprofit “think tank” named for former Florida Governor Thomas LeRoy Collins, a Democrat elected in 1955. The group oversees the operations of the Century Commission for a Sustainable Florida, which influences the state's approach to issues involving resource management. Former St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker is a former chair of the commission; State Sen. Mike Bennett, R-Bradenton, has a seat as well.

Iorio, Lucas, and seven other newly elected trustees will join up with the current 13-member board in June.
