BUYER: Jack's Place LLC (principals: Roger Hutchison), Fort Myers

SELLER: 3131 Riverside LLC

PROPERTY: 3120 and 3131 E. Riverside Drive, Fort Myers

PRICE: $1 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $2.4 million, July 2005

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Madden Law Firm LLC, Fort Myers

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: A company owned by Dr. Roger Hutchison purchased 27,302 square feet of office and warehouse space fronting the Caloosahatchee River and a smaller parcel across Riverside Drive for $1 million.

Hutchison plans to renovate the property to house his two technology companies: Digital Data Destruction Services Inc. and eTriage.

The new Fort Myers facilities will serve as expansion for the Iron River, Wis.,-based companies. Renovations scheduled for the Fort Myers property include installing a solar-reflecting roof and a new air-conditioning system and improving the handicap access. The buyer also plans to develop 12 offices for lease to attract other high-tech companies.

Digital Data Destruction Services provides products and services to destroy digital data from electronic media, while eTriage offers electronic forensic recovery of lost digital data.

“We invented much of the technology used by the military for classified media,” Hutchison says. “Now we are offering these services to businesses.”

Hutchison hopes to open the new location around June with 12 to 15 people.

The purchase entity Jack's Place LLC mortgaged the property to Biscayne Bank for $1.13 million.
