TAMPA — AVI-SPL, a Tampa-based communications company, made Peter Grabowski its new chief financial officer this week. Hoover's estimates AVI-SPL's 2009 revenues at roughly $400 million.
Grabowski has previously served as CFO for two other companies: most recently, Clockwork Home Services Inc., which sold to Toronto-based Direct Energy for $183 million last year; and Gevity HR Inc., which is owned by California-based TriNet. Grabowski also has past experience as a public accountant with Deloitte & Touche.
AVI-SPL installs audio and video communications systems for its clients. The company — a result of a merger between Audio Visual Innovations and Signal Perfection Ltd. — has completed 30,000 jobs over its 40-year existence.
