Caspers executive buys Kennedy office buildings

SELLER: Stoel Rentals Ltd.


PROPERTY: 410 and 420 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa


PRICE: $1.15 million


PREVIOUS PRICE: $67,500 and $112,700, May 1995


LAW FIRM ON DEED: Hill Ward Henderson, Tampa


PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Tampa businessman Blake Casper purchased two office buildings on Kennedy Boulevard for $1.15 million.


The price equated to $46 per square foot.


One building is 8,303 square feet, while the other is 16,565 square feet. The Hillsborough County property appraiser's office reports the larger building was built in 1925 and the smaller building was constructed in 1950.


The two-story buildings were vacant at the time of the sale.


Casper is chairman and CEO of Caspers Co., a Tampa-based McDonald's franchisee who owns and manages 51 restaurants in the Tampa area. But the purchase was done by Casper personally and did not involve the Caspers Co., according to a representative for the firm.
