NAPLES — Residential real estate sales in Collier County increased 4% by volume over the year in May 2011, and the median sale price for all residential properties increased from $190,000 to $208,000, according to the Naples Area Board of Realtors.

All of the increase in sales volume took place in the area's condo market, with sales up from 412 to 450 over the year, while the number of single-family homes sold was flat. But both property types saw median price increases.

The median sale price for a single-family home in Naples was $242,000 in May, up from $210,000 the year before, while the median condo price increased from $170,000 to $184,000.
