PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Deka-battery wholesaler Taylor & Crowe Battery Co. purchased a 20,925-square-foot industrial building in Alico Industrial Park for $1.1 million.

The price equated to $53 per square foot.

The distributor is planning to relocate to Fort Myers from a smaller building at 10940 K Nine Drive, Bonita Springs.

“We just needed more space for our inventory,” says Wendell Crow, district manager for Taylor & Crowe Battery. “We were looking for a building that met our size requirements in a good industrial area. This one is much more prominent. We've been open since '82 and we've been here since '83, so this is very big deal for us.”

Taylor & Crowe is scheduled to move in late August or early September.
