CAPE CORAL -- Turbine Generator Maintenance Inc. (TGM) opened a subsidiary in Chile last week. Its new operation, called TGM Limitada, will allow the Cape Coral-based turbine maintenance firm to provide quick-response service to clients in South America.

TGM provides inspection, maintenance, and repair services for steam and gas turbines to clients throughout the Americas. The company generated $27 million in revenues in 2010, and started 2011 with 44 employees, including 22 based in Cape Coral.

Beyond its Gulf Coast headquarters and the new Chilean location, TGM operates a training and logistics center in Knoxville, Tenn. The firm also employs field teams based at offices located throughout the United States, Caribbean and South America.

David Branton, TGM's president and CEO, led a management buyout of the Cape Coral-based company in January 2009. For more information, see “Power Fixers,” a feature story published in early 2010.
