TAMPA — Numara Software made Dave Hansen its newest CEO this week. Hansen succeeds David Weiss, who left after nine years at the helm to pursue other business ventures.

Hansen brings a 20-year career in technology management to Numara, including several general management and senior vice president-level positions with CA Technologies (symbol: CA), a New York-based firm with $4.4 billion in revenues and 14,000 employees.

Numara provides IT solutions to business clients, including security, asset purchase and management, and workstation software implementation. The company was founded in 1991 as Blue Ocean Software; acquired by Intuit in 2002; and then sold to a private equity firm in 2005, at which point it took on its current alias.

Numara is headquartered on West Shore Boulevard, near Tampa International Airport.
