St. Petersburg College purchases Juvenile Welfare Board building

PRICE: $2.5 million

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: St. Petersburg College purchased the 50,138-square-foot Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County building for $2.5 million.


The price equated to $50 per square foot.


St. Petersburg College says it plans to use the four-story office building to expand its Caruth Health Education Center. The health center currently occupies a building nearby at 7200 66th St. N.


The Health Education Center provides instruction in dental hygiene, emergency medicine, funeral services, human, health information management, healthcare informatics, medical coding, laboratory technology, nursing, physical therapist assistant, radiography, respiratory care and veterinary technology.


Alan Feldshue and Melanie Jackson of Colliers International Tampa Bay represented the seller.
