Delray Beach company buys Golden Corral building

BUYER: MarcVan Restaurants Inc. (principals: Marc and Vanessa Verderame), Delray Beach

SELLER: BIL Realty LLC and H&M Realty Associates LLC

PROPERTY: 5525 W. Cortez Road, Bradenton

PRICE: $2.55 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $3.2 million, January 2007

TITLE FIRM ON DEED: Florida TitleWorks Inc., Plantation

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Delray Beach-based MarcVan Restaurants purchased the 9,763-square-foot Golden Corral restaurant for $2.55 million, equating to $261 per square foot.

The 11-year-old building occupies a 2.04-acre corner lot next to a Walmart Supercenter in west Bradenton.

Marc and Vanessa Verderame of Delray Beach own MarcVan Restaurants and also run Verderame Construction. The Verderames declined to comment on the purchase.

MarcVan Restaurants mortgaged the building for $1.85 million to the former owners, BIL Realty LLC and H&M Realty Associates LLC.
