Community Bank of Manatee is moving its downtown Tampa branch roughly 400 feet east, from the intersection of Cleveland Street and Edison Avenue to the corner of Cleveland and South Boulevard.

The move will allow the bank to expand physically, at a time when Community is announcing itself as an active member of the Tampa lending market.

“So far this year we have made over $20 million in loans in the Tampa Bay market,” Community Bank President Katie Pemble said in a release, while CEO Bill Sedgeman added that the region represented “one of [the bank's] strongest markets since [it] opened there in 1997.”

The $250 million-asset bank named Pemble its president in July of this year.
