LAW FIRM ON DEED: Coleman Yovanovich & Koester PA, Naples

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Ben, Brian and Dick Klaas of Naples purchased the Grandezza Country Club for $7 million.

The price equated to $388,889 per golf hole.

The private country club features a 53,000-square-foot clubhouse with a 2,500-square-foot pool, a pro shop and dinning facilities. It also has a fitness center, four tennis courts and an 18-hole championship golf course.

The Klaas family bought Grandezza from Naples-based Stock Development. The family plans to make several improvements to the property, including painting the buildings, re-striping the parking lot, changing the carpeting and adding a kitchen facility near the pool.

“Stock Development Group is an excellent development company, but they aren't necessarily golf course operators,” Dick Klaas says. “That's our expertise.”

Dick Klaas was president of Naples-based Lely Development Corp., where he ran the Lely Royal Palm Country Club, Lely Hibiscus and Lely Flamingo golf courses. He and his son Ben are partners in the Arrowhead Country Club in Naples.
