BUYER: D&N Florida LLP (principals: David and Leslie Snyder), White Plains, N.Y.

SELLER: WHR III LLC

PROPERTY: 19C N. Blvd. of the Presidents, Sarasota

PRICE: $1.6 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $2 million, June 2006

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Shumaker Loop & Kendrick LLP, Sarasota

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: The founders of a suburban New York City-based law firm purchased a 3,131-square-foot commercial condo on St. Armands Circle for $1.6 million.

The price equated to $511 per square foot.

The unit has housed ScoopDaddy's Gourmet Ice Cream since early 2009.

The buyers, David and Leslie Snyder, live on Bird Key and purchased the property as an investment. ScoopDaddy's has committed to staying as a tenant for at least another year and likely longer.

“St. Armands Circle is a world-class retail location and we felt it made sense for the long term,” David Snyder says. “We think St. Armands will continue to attract international visitors, and as investors, we have great confidence in Sarasota.”

The Snyders are two of the three partners in the Snyder & Snyder law firm. The three-office practice handles telecommunications, environmental, zoning and land use law. It also takes public utility, corporate and nonprofit cases.
