PRICE: $5 million

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: First Baptist Family Church of Marco Island purchased the First Assembly of God church campus for $5 million.


The campus is on 43.31 acres. The price equated to $115,447 per acre.


The purchase will be the church's second campus facility. Its main campus is at 1450 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island.


The church already started clearing excess vegetation on the property. It also announced plans to renovate the chapel, offices and areas devoted to children.


First Baptist's vision statement says it hopes to have 20 churches by 2018. It also currently operates the Winterberry Christian Academy and The Well, a Christian bookstore and coffeehouse.


The church, using the corporate identity of The Family Church of SW Florida Inc., mortgaged the property to SGD Investments Inc. for $4.5 million.
