Count Naples Mayor Bill Barnett as a fan of the ballet.
He's such a big fan that hizzoner is going to make a cameo appearance in the Naples Ballet's rendition of the holiday classic, the Nutcracker.
But don't expect Barnett to perform any sweeping waltzes or sprinkle sugar plum fairy dust. He'll play the minor role of a visiting parent to the Silberhaus family during the party scene where Clara receives the nutcracker doll.
The Naples Ballet company will hold two performances, but the mayor will only be making an appearance in the Dec. 12 show. It could be a hot ticket. Or not.
