M2Gen, a for-profit subsidiary of the Moffitt Cancer Center, has named Ana Stancic its newest chief financial officer.

Stancic has served previously as chief financial officer for her two most recent employers: Aureon Laboratories Inc., a private health services company, and Omrix Biopharmaceuticals Inc., which was recently acquired by Johnson & Johnson. In total, Stancic has 20 years of experience in financial leadership.

M2Gen CEO James Utterback said Stancic's abilities would help the company's effort to become more active in the near future. “Her education and years of relevant experience will undoubtedly be put to good use as we accelerate M2Gen's business planning and fundraising efforts across multiple business lines,” he said in a release.

Based in Tampa, M2Gen focuses on the development of personalized cancer treatment technologies. The company has partnered with Merck & Co. Inc. since 2006.
