The University of South Florida has picked up a major sponsor for its athletics programs. Verizon Communications Inc. will become a premier corporate partner with the USF Bulls for three years, a release said.
The deal calls for all USF athletics facilities to be outfitted with Verizon FiOS network technology. In exchange, Verizon will receive media placement via USF's media outlets, as well as naming rights of the “Verizon FiOS Courtside Cabana” inside the USF Sun Dome.
Additionally, all Verizon FiOS customers who have not yet purchased tickets for the 2010 USF football season will receive a 25% discount on season ticket packages.
Verizon Communications Inc. is headquartered in New York, and generated $107 billion in revenue last year.
