Lee County DOT buys Enterprise building

BUYER: Lee County, Fort Myers

SELLER: Reliance Bank

PROPERTY: 5642 Enterprise Parkway, Fort Myers

PRICE: $1.34 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $2.22 million, October 2005

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Richard W. Pringle PA, Fort Myers

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Lee County government purchased a 24,451-square-foot industrial manufacturing building on Enterprise Parkway north of Luckett Road and bordering Interstate 75 for $1.34 million.

The purchase price equated to $55 per square foot of building space. Cliff Wiersma and Tim Kistel of TRK Commercial Real Estate Services handled the transaction.

“The county [Department of Transportation] has a facility right next door and needed more space,” Wiersma says. “The building has more than 10,000 square feet of office space, which they liked. It also has a huge lot so they can store a lot of vehicles there. It was a terrific value to the county...It was also bank owned.”

The building was originally constructed in 1987 and occupies a 2.8-acre parcel.
