PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Tampa investors Sam and Laurice Hachem purchased the 119,502-square-foot Columbus Plaza shopping center for $2.8 million. The purchase price equated to $23 per square foot. A Sweetbay and Family Dollar anchor the two-building center.

“A brand new Bank of America office building moved in and opened in November or December,” Laurice Hachem says. “It's in a very good location. About 30% of the center is still available for lease. The sellers were out of state and tried to manage it remotely. They just let the property sit empty with a phone number for people to call if they were interested.”
