TAMPA — The Hiller Group Inc., an aviation fuel distributor based in Tampa, was purchased by World Fuel Services Inc., a Miami-based subsidiary of World Fuel Services Corp. (symbol: INT).

Hiller supplies fuel to more than 600 fixed-base operators and corporate flight departments, a release said.

World Fuel Services Corp. did $16.85 billion in business over the last 12 months, posting $141.93 million in profits, or $2.33 in earnings per outstanding share. The Hiller acquisition should add an additional $0.05 to $0.07 to World Fuel's earnings on a per share basis, the company said.
