PROPERTY: 601 Fifth Ave. S., Naples


PRICE: $2.4 million


PREVIOUS PRICE: $2.56 million, July 2003


LAW FIRM ON DEED: Craig D. Blume Esq., Naples


PLANS, DESCRIPTION: A firm affiliated with a Sanibel real estate company purchased the 4,683-square-foot former Congress Jewelers building on Fifth Avenue for $2.4 million.


The price equated to $512 per square foot.


The buyer, RLR1 LLC, is affiliated with The Royal Shell Cos., a Sanibel-based real estate brokerage firm. The firm also rents out vacation properties and handles association/property management. The company has offices on Captiva and Sanibel.


David J. Stevens of Investment Properties Corp. represented the seller and Don DeLuca, the broker for The Royal Shell Cos., represented the buyers.


“We are in for permits right now to renovate it,” DeLuca says. “We hope to be open there by mid-to-late November.”
