Inc. recognizes Gulf Coast

Five Tampa Bay companies made this year's Inc. 500, the list published by Inc. Magazine that recognizes the nation's fastest growing companies. But that's not the only region with high-growth firms.

Several businesses based in Charlotte and Lee Counties ranked among the top 1,000, including Fort Myers-based JKMilne Asset Management, which barely missed the top 500 with its 532nd ranking. JKMilne revenues grew from $352,973 in 2006 to $2.4 million last year, a 572% increase.
