Solid growth in both revenue and profits are leading executives at Kforce Inc. to believe that their customers are recovering successfully.
Kforce generated $246.1 million in revenue in the second quarter of 2010, leading to a net income of $5.1 million. Those totals represent year-over-year gains of 8.9% and 31.7% respectively.
Furthermore, a 48.9% increase in permanent placement revenues for the staffing services company has CEO David Dunkel feeling good about the prospects of a sustained recovery. In a release, Dunkel said his company believes that gain “reflects our clients rebuilding core staff after significant reductions throughout the recent economic recession.”
With growth prospects on the horizon, the company will not stand pat. “Kforce is aggressively pursuing business opportunities with the goal of continuing to gain customer and market share," Dunkel said.

HSN Inc.
HSN Inc. posted a profit of $24.7 million in the second quarter of 2010, good for an 82% year-over-year increase. The main drivers behind the gains were increased sales and improved profit margins.
Specifically, net sales increased by $49.9 million up to $690 million, an 8% gain over last year's second quarter total. And HSN's margins rose from 36.2% to 37.5%.
Internet sales propelled the sales growth, as the company's e-commerce activity grew 16% during the quarter. And increased activity in both the fashion and wellness segments helped the profit margin boost.
HSN Inc is the retail sales company that operates the Home Shopping Network television channels. The company is headquartered in St. Petersburg.
