PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Valrico-based homebuilder Sunrise Homes purchased 101 home lots in Walden Pointe for $1.52 million. The price equated to $15,000 per lot in the residential community next to Walden Lake in Plant City.

“Cash is king these days,” says Ali Hasbini, president of Sunrise Homes. “We felt it was a good price, so we could give a quality value to home buyers. Lots out there were going for $30,000 to the $40,000s.”

Added Hasbini: “There will still will be a lot of hard work — the market is still soft — but we are confident. We strongly believe in Plant City.”

Sunrise Homes is also optimistic about the community's success because of its Homes for Life building model. Under the Homes for Life plan the homes are built to allow homeowners to expand as needed.

The homes start at 2,000 square feet and can be expanded later by up to 1,200 square feet. Home for Life homes start at $189,900.
