LAW FIRM ON DEED: Foley & Lardner LLP, Tampa
PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Providence, R.I.-based financier Textron Financial Corp. has acquired the Legacy Golf Club after its previous owner, Troon Golf, defaulted on its mortgage. The transfer values the property based on the remainder of the loan of $6.7 million. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the Legacy Golf Club is a public 18-hole championship course in Lakewood Ranch.

Lakewood Ranch master-planned developer Schroeder-Manatee Ranch built and opened the course in 1997 before selling it to Troon Golf in 1998.

Textron Financial officials declined to comment on the change in ownership.
