Georgia company buys Consulate Health Care


BUYER: FC-THC Leasing III LLC (principals: Arnold Whitman, Christopher Sertich and John Chilson), Alpharetta, Ga.


SELLER: Health Care REIT Inc.


PROPERTY: 991 Pondella Road, North Fort Myers


PRICE: $10.1 million


PREVIOUS PRICE: $6.49 million, March 1998


LAW FIRM ON DEED: Williams Mullen, Virginia Beach, Vir.


PLANS, DESCRIPTION: FC-THC Leasing III LLC, a limited liability company related to Alpharetta, Ga.-based Formation Capital, purchased the 43,430-square-foot Consulate Health Care of North Fort Myers retirement community at the southeast corner of Pondella Road and 25th Avenue for $10.1 million.


The purchase price equated to $233 per square foot of building space.


The 120-bed skilled nursing facility features private, semi-private and family rooms, short-term and extended care, respite care, physical, occupational, IV, speech and respiratory therapy and more.


Formation Capital invests in senior housing and healthcare. Over the past six years, the company has coordinated more than $4 billion in transactions
