Manatee Bar recognizes
members' service
The Manatee County Bar Association recognized two members for their record of service to the community at the organization's recent annual meeting.
Judge Thomas M. Gallen received the Manatee County Bar Association's Lifetime Achievement Award, and Judge Charles E. Williams received the Community Service Leader Award.
The awards recognize members of the Bar Association who provide service to the community through participation in organizations and activities beyond the scope of the Bar.
Also, Florida Supreme Court Justice Raoul Cantero, chairman of The Florida Bar Professionalism Committee, recently presented the Wm. M. Hoeveler Judicial Award to 12th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Durand J. Adams.
New stormwater firm
formed for recertification
David Rekow, president and founder of Signal Real Estate and Development Services, has announced the formation of Stormwater Maintenance Inc., a new company whose purpose is to repair and correct drainage system problems so communities and property owners can meet recertification requirements of Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD).
According to SWFWMD regulations, drainage systems must be recertified every 18-24 months by a registered civil engineer. The drainage systems must be in proper working order, as originally permitted and constructed.
Progressive Employer obtains
$5 million credit facility
Progressive Employer Services, a privately held professional employer organization based in Sarasota, announced that it has entered into a $5,000,000 revolving credit facility with PNC Business Credit, the asset-based lending arm of PNC Bank. In August 2004, Progressive received a $6 million private equity investment from Palm Beach Capital Partners, LLC.

• Suncoast Chiropractic will open an office at 3034 University Parkway.
• Aldrich Cardiovascular will open a new office in University Park, minutes from the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
• Designer Carol Kornak purchased Kitchens by Design at 4233 Clark Road in Sarasota.
• Barbara E. Wright, president of Wright & Associates Accounting & Business Management Inc., announced the 30th anniversary of the firm.
