Chairman's Club award
Wyman, Green & Blalock Inc. was selected for the FCCI Insurance Group's Chairman's Club. Wyman, Green & Blalock Inc. was the only agency selected for the award in the Manatee-Sarasota area. Partners Greg Bustle, Corky Taylor and John Laurie received the award from FCCI Senior Vice President Rupert Willis.
Champ Products Inc.
names new agency of record
Champ Products Inc., manufacturer of heat exchangers and oil coolers for marine engines, heavy trucks and off-road equipment, named Design Marketing Group agency of record. The Sarasota agency will provide corporate identity services, including logo design, Web site design, production and maintenance and trade show exhibit design and production.
Clarke Advertising expands
to the Rocky Mountains
Sarasota's Clarke Advertising and Public Relations announced plans to expand into the fast-growing Denver market. Bill Pierson, president of Clarke, previously worked for Pierson Hawkins in Denver before joining Clarke in 2001. Pierson will oversee both the Sarasota and Denver offices.
Horizon Bay named
a four-time winner
Horizon Bay Senior Communities, a Tampa-based seniors housing management company, was named a four-time winner in this year's National Mature Media Awards Program. The program, presented by the Mature Market Resource Center, recognizes the nation's finest advertising, marketing and educational materials designed and produced for older adults. Horizon Bay's entries were chosen from nearly 1,100 entries and were judged by a panel of experts for overall excellence of design, content, creativity and relevance to the senior market.
Military families
treated to retreat
Nineteen families enjoyed a relaxing week thanks to the Longboat Chamber of Commerce. During Heroes Retreat Week, the chamber took families from Fort Benning, Ga., each with a family member in the military that recently returned from Iraq, and gave them a week at the Seaside Garden Retreat.
