The new brand will initially operate in Virginia, South Carolina and North Carolina, according to a press release. Commonwealth Corporate Suites has offered premium fully furnished apartments throughout Virginia since 2004.

Tampa-based Mainsail, the release states, will continue provide corporate housing in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee as an Oakwood Worldwide franchisee.

"This is a great opportunity and natural progression for Mainsail Housing, allowing us to build on nearly two decades of success in the Southeast," Mainsail Housing Managing Partner Jana Collier states in the release. "With the acquisition of Commonwealth Corporate Suites, we've gained a well-established team with tremendous market knowledge and experience to help introduce the Mainsail Corporate Housing brand in the region."

"This is an exciting start to the new year, working with my trusted colleagues to ensure a successful market entry," Everhart states in the release. "We have strong synergy within the team, which will be a huge advantage as we introduce the new Mainsail brand."
