TAMPA — Gino Casanova, the former head of government affairs at AdventHealth’s West Florida division, has joined Tampa-based Shumaker Advisors Florida as chief of staff.
Casanova, according to a news release, most recently served as vice president of business development at Copypress, a content marketing agency headquartered in Tampa.
“Gino is a game changer and is respected for his ability to achieve the most challenging goals through strong team building and dedication,” Shumaker Advisors Florida President and CEO Ron Christaldi states in the release. “We are thrilled to have his leadership at Shumaker Advisors, and we know he will bring tremendous value to our clients.”
In addition to his private-sector experience, Casanova served as a legislative aide to State Sen. Mike Fasano, R-New Port Richey. In that role, the release states, he helped research, write and pass more than 100 bills.
Casanova is the latest in a string of high-profile hires at Shumaker Advisors Florida. Bob Buckhorn and Rick Kriseman, the former mayors of Tampa and St. Petersburg, respectively, recently joined the firm, as did Michael Johnston, Florida’s former deputy secretary of business regulation.
