FORT MYERS — Conditioned Air Co., continuing its ongoing expansion north of its Naples headquarters, recently moved into its newly constructed operations center in Fort Myers.

The 52,710-square-foot facility is the culmination of a three-year process, including the past year or so of construction after two years of searching for a property to replace its older Fort Myers hub. The company currently has 185 employees in Collier County, 124 in Lee County and 61 in Sarasota County with plans to double in size in the next five to seven years. A majority of that growth is projected to be in Lee and Sarasota counties, according to a statement, which facilitated the need for a larger, more modern space.

“We continue to be very excited about the outlook for Conditioned Air,” Conditioned Air President and CEO Tim Dupre says in the statement. “We anticipate that future growth will be fueled by a combination of organic growth through the company and potential acquisitions of other air-conditioning firms in the market.”

The Lee/Charlotte Operations Center is at the intersection of Jetport Loop and Global Parkway in the Southwest International Commerce Park just across from the Southwest Florida International Airport, according to a statement.

The building encompasses approximately 10,800 square feet of office space, 31,110 square feet of warehouse space and 10,800 square feet of mezzanine for storage and future expansion, the release adds. It will house the firm’s Residential Replacements team, Lee County Service and Maintenance teams, Estimating, and Lee County Production Housing team.

“This new facility will serve as the firm’s central hub for the growing Lee and Charlotte County markets and will provide operational support for our Naples headquarters and Sarasota branches,” Tim Dupre says in the statement. “It also will house our main training facility with a fully functional lab for hands-on continuous education and onboarding of entry level technicians.”

McHarris Planning & Design handled the design of the building and Seagate Development Group oversaw construction. It features a dramatic exterior that is similar to Conditioned Air’s recently renovated corporate headquarters in Naples, the release states.

Conditioned Air, founded in 1962, posted $56.9 million in revenue on 2019, up 10.7% from $51.4 million in 2018. The company  offers local expertise in light commercial and residential HVAC systems, including design, engineer, estimate, installation and maintenance of new construction, refrigeration, indoor air quality and dehumidification systems.
