Construction begins on active adult clubhouse

LAKEWOOD RANCH — Construction has begun on a 27,000 square foot clubhouse at the Del Webb Lakewood Ranch community.

Hoyt Architects designed the multimillion-dollar modern craftsman-inspired clubhouse and Willis A. Smith Construction is the general contractor. Officials expect the project to be completed by the fall.

The clubhouse includes a fitness center, group fitness studio, catering studio, Wi-Fi cafe, lakefront restaurant, pool and spa, in addition to activity and gathering spaces.

Del Webb Lakewood Ranch is a 55+ active adult community planned for 1,300 homes. Houses in the community range in price from $230,990 to $529,060.
