NAPLES — Conditioned Air has hired veteran finance officer Tim Russell as vice president of finance, replacing former Senior Vice President and CFO Carol Papesh, who has retired and accepted a position on the company’s board of directors.

A Southwest Florida resident for 30 years, Russell joins Conditioned Air from Fusion Industries, where he was CFO, according to a statement.

“Tim has watched our company for many years and brings extensive knowledge in mergers and acquisitions and in integrating companies,” says Conditioned Air Chairman Theo Etzell in the statement. “This experience will be advantageous as we continue to expand our operations throughout Southwest Florida.”

With 380 employees, Conditioned Air serves Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Russell succeeds Papesh, who retires after 33 years in construction accounting. She began her career with Conditioned Air 14 years ago as assistant controller. In 2006, she was promoted to CFO, and in 2013 was named as Senior Vice President. She remains an owner of the company.
