Convention center, estate names new general manager

Anna Pohl previously worked at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art.

BRADENTON — The Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired Anna Pohl as general manager of the Bradenton Area Convention Center and Powel Crosley Estate.

Pohl previously worked at the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Mattison’s Restaurants and Catering and Linens by the Sea, a division of U.S. Tent Rental.

She also taught at State College of Florida through the Lovegevity Certification event and wedding planning program. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International and the Florida Society of Association Executives.

“Anna has been a leader in our community for the past decade, and she has the skill sets and personality traits that will no doubt make our facilities operation appealing to the community and marketplace,” says Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Elliott Falcione in a statement. “The Bradenton Area is currently poised to become one of the top locations in the state for meetings and events and we are confident that — with Anna’s help — this message will reach more people than ever before."

The Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau promotes tourism to Bradenton, Anna Maria Island and the Longboat Key area as well as the rest of Manatee County, including Palmetto, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, Cortez, Ellenton, Myakka City, Fort Hamer, Lakewood Ranch and Parrish.
