Bay Tech builds Odessa facility

The new 11,850-square-foot building will require 27 additional employees.

ODESSA — Bay Tech Industries Inc. will build an 11,850-square-foot facility in Odessa. The expansion will require the addition of 27 new employees, to be paid an average annual wage of $39,985, or 128% of the current average annual wage in Pasco County.

Pasco County officials have agreed to defer $73,000 of transportation impact fees Bay Tech would have owed for five years, a release said. If the company retains all 27 new employees and continues to pay them at least 125% of the Pasco County average annual wage ($39,004), those fees will be waived.

Bay Tech Industries Inc. is a machine manufacturing company that specializes in milling and welding. The company has been leasing manufacturing space in Oldsmar's Tri-County Industrial Park for the past 22 years.
