BRADENTON — Cortez Heating & Air recently announced it won the work to provide maintenance services to a pair of high-end Orlando hotels: the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort and Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed for the agreement, which runs through March 2024.

The two hotels have significant square footage under air conditioning, according to a statement. The Waldorf Astoria Orlando has more than 500 guest rooms, the release adds, and the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort has more than 153,000 square feet of meeting space. Between both properties, the hotels share 12 restaurants and lounges.

Under the agreement, Bradenton-based Cortez will provide preventative maintenance services to both hotels’ HVAC equipment, including chillers, variable speed drive  and pumps. Cortez will also respond to any HVAC emergency calls.

“The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando are world-class resort hotels that serve a clientele from all over the world,” Vice President of Sales Steven Dobbins says in the release. “Their standards for guest comfort are exacting, and it’s an honor that they selected Cortez.”

Cortez Heating & Air offers commercial and industrial systems service and holds licenses throughout the Southeast. It has been operating since the 1960s.
