From weather issues to labor shortages, hurdles come up both early and late in a variety of construction projects.

But while obstacles are common, some projects rise above others with a cool factor. It could be the extensive use of glass, especially in unusual places. It could be sustainability components. Or maybe it’s the use of new technologies to get things done faster, and for less money.

The Business Observer seeks the coolest of the cool projects in the region, from Polk through Collier counties, for an upcoming issue. If you or your company is working on a project that oozes cool, please send a note with the project’s location and details to Mark Gordon at [email protected]

Please send in submissions by Oct. 23.
