Do know someone who started with little more than an idea, ambition and some guts — and used that to build a successful business? Someone who saw market need and filled the demand?

How about someone with a knack for seeing and capitalizing on opportunity? Someone who leads his or her business with integrity and intelligence and inspires others?

The Business Observer seeks business leaders with all of the above and more for its 2020 Top Entrepreneur Awards and issue. The winners will be honored at a special luncheon May 14, where they can engage with one another and hundreds of other business community leaders. Three of last year’s winners — Michael Saunders of Michael Saunders & Co., Richard Gonzmart with Columbia and Michael Wynn of Sunshine Ace Hardware — formed a rock star panel at the event.

We are looking for businesses with revenues in the multimillions, in any industry or sector. Nominees should also be visionaries and leaders who have overcome obstacles to lead their companies to great achievements. Companies must be based on the Gulf Coast, from Tampa and Lakeland through Naples.

For more information or to nominate someone, please email Mark Gordon with the name of the nominee and business, as well as a brief description of what makes him or her stand out at [email protected], or call him at 941-362-4848. The deadline to submit names is Feb. 26.
