PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Sarasota technology company Datum Corp. purchased the 11,365-square-foot former Lee Wetherington Homes headquarters for $975,000.

The price equated to $86 per square foot.

The property featured a kitchen and three restrooms.

Datum Corp. plans to renovate and relocate to the building in Lakewood Ranch Corporate Park from a leased space in a nearby building.

Steve Ross of Hembree & Associates Inc. represented the seller and Susan Goldstein of Michael Saunders & Co. represented the buyer.

“They liked the location and the building itself,” Goldstein says. “It was a great opportunity for them. They love being in the Lakewood Ranch area; it's very conducive to their business and employees.”

Datum Corp. specializes in providing technology solutions to retail and restaurant chains.

The purchase entity TG Frost Holdings LLC mortgaged the property to Synovus Bank for two loans totaling $1 million.
