Lawyers, Judges Gathered at Bench & Barbecue

A few feisty litigators donned cowboy hats and boots for the 5th annual Wild, Wild West Bench & Bar-B-Que Oct. 1 at Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport.

More than 150 attorneys, including Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney Bernie McCabe and Public Defender Robert Dillinger, attended the daylong event that included seminars on legal advertising, workers'comp, family law and criminal law.

Susan Demers, Clearwater Bar president-elect, along with Joseph Corsmeier discussed the dos and don'ts of lawyer advertising (see Page 4).

The event was co-sponsored by the Clearwater and St. Petersburg bar associations. Conference co-chairs were Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge John C. Lenderman and Clearwater attorney Connie R. Stephens.
