TAMPA — Xcelience, a pharmaceutical research firm, will add 45 employees to its staff over the next three years, more than doubling its current employment, according to a company release.
The new additions qualify Xcelience for a $135,000 Qualified Targeted Industry (QTI) tax rebate, provided the firm pays its new employees an average salary of $46,833, or 115% the current average wage in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metropolitan statistical area.
In addition to the new staff, Xcelience also plans to add 25,000 square feet of space to its operations headquarters in Tampa.
Founded in 1997, Xcelience helps drug companies accelerate product research and development in the early stages of testing. Derek Hennecke leads the firm as president and CEO.
