Clearwater businessman Dru Jeanis opposes the city's enforcement action against a fish mural. To make a case for his now partner in crime, Jeanis has put up his own mural and says he hopes the city cites him for not obtaining a permit.

Jeanis, who has spoken before the City Council, had an 8- by 12-foot political cartoon painted on the side of Pure Postcards, his postcard marketing business at 1227 S. Lincoln Ave. It shows various city officials with word balloons coming out of their mouths, quoting comments they've made during the controversy.

A Clearwater bait and tackle shop is making a federal case over a mural on its building that depicts game fish, which the city argues is an illegal business sign.

Jeanis says his mural is intended to raise public awareness about the issue. To support the bait shop he has set up a Web site, www.keepthefish.com.
