Pier project adds new tenants, including rooftop bar
ST. PETERSBURG — The list of attractions at the new St. Pete Pier, scheduled for completion in fall 2019, has grown to include an education facility, tackle and bait shop, two cafes, a rooftop bar, a gift shop and two restaurants.
The eateries include the previously announced, family-friendly Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille on the Pier Approach, as well as Teak, a more upscale dining option located at the Pier Head.
The most recent addition to the Pier’s business community is United Park Services Inc., which will operate a gift and sundries shop, Gator Jim’s Tackle and Bait Shop and the Pavilion Café, offering snacks and other grab-and-go food options.
The release also states the Pier will have an educational component thanks to the presence of Tampa Bay Watch Inc., a nonprofit that will develop and operate an education station and “wet classroom” at the facility.
