Rooftop bar on new hotel plans early 2021 opening

TAMPA — Sal Y Mar, the new rooftop bar on top of the forthcoming Aloft and Element Hotel in Midtown Tampa, is prepping for a January 2021 opening.

Sal Y Mar Rooftop Bar seeks to fill various full- and part-time food and beverage positions, according to a statement, including servers, hosts, cooks, bartenders and others. Applications are available online and interviews will take place via Zoom, the release adds.

The name of the bar, inspired by the Riviera Maya town of Tulum, translates to Salt and Sea. Concord Hospitality Enterprises Co. the firm behind the hotel, recently released details for the new bar, including that it will have 360-degree views of the Tampa, Westshore, and St. Petersburg skylines. “We can’t wait to share our spectacular views and our passion for authentic Latin Inspired cuisine and sensational cocktails with guests and the entire Midtown community. It’s going to be a truly fabulous space,” Evette Torres, Dual General Manager for Aloft and Element Hotel, says on the bar’s website.
