FORT MYERS — Restaurant Business magazine recently identified Rib City as the 11th fastest-growing restaurant chain in the country.

The industry trade publication cited data from food industry research and consulting firm Technomic, which showed Rib City as one of the fastest growing restaurant chains in the country based on the percent change in 2010 sales compared with the previous year in the $25 million to $50 million sales category.

Father-and-son entrepreneurs Paul and Craig Peden founded the Fort Myers-based barbecue chain in 1989. There are 13 corporate-owned stores and 16 franchises located in eight states.

The Pedens were featured among the Review's 2011 Entrepreneur of the Year. For more, see the Review May 12, 2011 “Godfather of Barbecue.”
