TAMPA — Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT II Inc. last month completed a series of data and medical-related property acquisitions totaling $102.2 million, the company says.
The Tampa-based company's new data center projects are in Chicago and South Carolina, according to a release. Combined, the two properties cost Carter Validus $52.3 million. The Chicago property is a four-story, 115,352-square-foot building constructed in 1987 that is fully leased to hybrid IT services provider Ensono L.P.
On the health care side, Carter Validus bought a medical office building in Grand Rapids, Mich., and a surgery center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The Grand Rapids property is a four-story center built in 2008 that houses a women's health center and measures 106,800 square feet. It is 92.6% leased. Additionally, the facility contains a 419-space parking garage that is adjacent to the office building.
In Corpus Christi, the REIT acquired a fully leased, three-story surgery center that has 25,102 square feet.
“These acquisitions are indicative of our commitment to investing in well-located, high-quality commercial real estate in the growing industries of data centers and health care,” says Carter Validus president Michael Seton in the statement.
